AN MRI revealed this was not an injury. Although I have had mild back pain most of my adult life this really took off with a vengeance after the first of the year when I awakened with pain from sciatica. I had consulted a surgeon and was anticipating some surgery when I ran afoul of some complications with pre-op tests. By the time I had undergone four heart tests, my back did not hurt as much and I had a graduation and a wedding to attend among other events. Now, it is beginning to hurt again when I walk or stand for any length of time. I am in the process of trying to lose some weight.
