I was in a bad car accident in 1985 at the age of 17. I sustained 2 fractured legs, ankles, and a right hip. I had surgical repair with rods and pins and later surgical removal of the hardware. I was left with a limp and chronic low back pain. The medical Dr.s said there was nothing else they could do for me besides pain meds. While I was attending Kent State University, I got a flyer in my mailbox at the dorms for a free exam from a chiropractor. I didn't know anything about chiropractic but it mentioned back pain so I decided to try it. It changed my life. He (Dr. Dan Tubs) showed me my extras explaining how my spine had rotated almost completely to the side. After a couple of months of manual spinal correction to get everything back in alignment I no longer limped or had any back pain! Life changing! So much so that I decided that I wanted to do the same. If I could help one person the way he helped me then that's what I wanted to do. I changed my major and later went to chiropractic school. I and my husband have been practicing since 1995. We see people's life change regularly from chiropractic care. It has been the most amazing and rewarding profession I could have hoped for. In healing we give all of the glory to God alone. The power that made the body heals the body. From above - Down inside- out. We believe our bodies were created perfectly with a built in immune system as well. When there is nerve interference (from spinal misalignment) you not only have pain, muscle spasm, and inflammation, but the body's systems are also affected. ( digestive, pulmonary, Renal, cardiovascular, etc). So most people come in for pain and are surprised to see their overall health improve as well. It's simply amazing how putting the body back to the way it was created can bring back the full function it was created for. I highly recommend trying chiropractic before considering spinal surgery. Give it a try. You've got nothing to loose and health to gain!
