Lifted something too heavy. Tried chiropractor. Eventually surgery. 10 years later and a lot of pain another surgery. One year later and excruciating pain that nothing worked another surgery. This time more extensive. Double fusion, pins, screws, spacers. 6 1/2 hours worth. Took me a year to walk halfway normal. Foot is numb and parts of my leg. Sciatica is encased in scar tissue. If I over do it it swells and I am done. I take anti inflammatory, pain and muscle relaxers. I am now on blood pressure pills and can only use ice until I don't feel it anymore. Elevate my legs and lay flat. Fast forward 13 years and blew the disc in my neck. I have a plate and screws with fusion. I am now disabled and my doctor said I am not one of his success cases. I have to wear a back brace at all times. Plus side, better than I was before surgery. Word of the wise keep your mind busy, pick and choose what you do. Either way I pay for it after words. Make the best of it as someone else has it a lot worse.
