Had lumbar lam in 1990. Good till 1996. Spinal stenosis in L4.5 from prev surgery. Dr Volkar Santag at Barrows in Phenix. Good result until 2007 when I had Boston Scientic Spine Pain stim put in! Good until 2016! Lost 65 !bs and battery dead last 2 years but no pain! We decided on stimulator vs triple fusion in lower back! Did not have pain until April 2016! It is now back with a.vengence and effecting both legs and unable to walk some days! I am sorry that I did the pain stim as now I cannot get MRI or even be in the waiting room of MRI!! I am Stuck because it cannot be removed! I would tell you in hindsight DO NOT have surgery until every thing else fails!! Never never!!!
