I tried all kind of treatments before surgery but none worked. I finally went to see a surgeon, who said I required surgery. I had the survey which was a fusion on L4, L5 and S1. After surgery I went to many week of physical therapy. I continued to have pain even after the therapy. I went back to the doctor who now said I would require another surgery, only this time going thru the front. I was ready to have this done until I saw the surgeon. He told me all the things that could go wrong. I talked it over with my wife and we decided one operation was enough. I am still in pain and I am using a fentenal patch. The patch helps a little. I also was going to have an election simulator implanted but I have a deflibulater/pacemaker implanted so they advised against it.
