My hip had been hurting for about four years, but then it started going down my right leg to my foot. I went to therapy and it just got worse. I went to see an Orthopedic doctor two times. He said it was bursitis. I went to emergency room two times. I went to pain management and got a cortisone injection without any sedative and I thought they were killing me. I started taking Oxycodone finally and got some relief (10mg every four hours). I finally got my surgery. The surgeon said I had a pinch nerve ( a piece of a disc had broken off and went into a nerve root). That was last October 2015. I went to therapy for three months three days a week. It helped, but I was far from well. I got nerve damage in my foot. The doctor said it was from not getting the surgery sooner. My hip is better, but my back is worse. Now my left hip hurt's worse than the right and I don't know what to do. I exercise and walk trying to stay on my feet. I'm not taking any pain medicine.
