I was in intense pain before surgery. I was sleeping in a recliner 6 months before surgery because of pain. Intense pain. Could barely walk. I first went to a Spine Dr. After viewing my MRI he said I had Severe Spinal Stenosis and that I needed a surgeon ASAP. Saw Dr. Parker at TOC because I had heard good things from people he had operated on. I was told he had to also had to take out a lot of bone. It has been 4 1/2 months since since surgery. I went to therapy after 12 weeks if surgery. I asked forcopies of each exercise they showed me. I do them everyday and will for rest of my life. I only took pain meds while in hospital after surgery. My back fusion was L4 and L5. I had back pain my whole life. I have been pain free since my surgery. It was the best thing I ever did! They set me up for 6 weeks if rehab. After 2 weeks rehab told me I was doing so well and they knew I would do them at home so I was done there. I do my back exercises on a swim mat. It works great! I am 69 years old but very active.
