I had a laminectomy 9 years ago, after which I was free of pain, able to lose weight, and active for about four years.
In March, 2015 I had four discs fused. I was told that without the surgery I would be in a wheelchair within two years due to further disc degeneration. I know that my lower spine looked like a derailed train. They had to move one vertebrae almost two inches to realign it.
I was in constant pain before and have been in constant pain since. My mobility is limited and sitting , especially in a car, is very difficult.
