ACDF surgery helped my neck but once fused, my whole back is now causing issues . I am in the diagnosing stages. I have a syrinx on my spinal cord in addition to spine problems both lumbar and thoracic. A tumor/cancer has been ruled out as a cause f the syrinx. Everyday I have different levels of pain or discomfort and in varied areas of my spine and body. Oral steroids have helped and usually Motrin takes the edge off of my pain. Some days, I have to take 1/2-1 Vicodin in addition to Motrin to feel better. Exercise and heat also helps .
