I didn't experience an injury. My back problems developed over time with age. My initial symptoms were strictly left leg pain due to my nerve being compressed due to a blown disc between L5-S1. Fusing L5 to S1 resolved the leg pain but initiated my lower back pain. I've tried numerous treatments since with very little relief. I've since had fusion surgery for C5-C6-C7. The initial fusion between C6-C7 didn't take and had to be redone. I now have a morphine pump installed to help me deal with the lower back pain.
