My back pain started when packing snd unpacking for the move from LAto CA. Had occasional back pain before that when pregnant or after standing for long periods cooking. Since practicing the Gokhale Method my pain is almost gone. May reappear if doing heavy bending such as picking grapes or pulling down ivy but now resolved very quickly when I take a break

Always very active for my age (77). Used to walk 2-3 miles daily, lots of lawn work, lifting and a lot of long term standing in part-time retail job. All of the preceding and other activities have diminished to very little activity to none because of pain and sciatica.
