I really appreciate the Gokhale method. It gives me some hope for the future. My osteopath has been treating me for 17 years and talks about needing to "maintain" my back and that my neck pain for the last 6 months was because of the accumulated issues. I prefer to be positive and to think about strengthening the areas that need strengthening so that my back is held by this strength and helps and supports the injured areas. I was scared about the future as I grew older now I am hopeful that I can help myself by doing the method. The website has so many resources on it that I am still discovering parts of it. This is the only approach that has made real sense to me and is offering an in-depth way of being with my body, without forcing it. I have done Pilates for nearly 20 years and still have suffered from back and neck issues. I now look forward to being able to return to doing fused glass work which I have had to stop for six months due to neck pain, which is now easing due to this method and some assistance too from my osteopath. I had Esther for individual lessons and now Clare Chapman who is in the UK and who is highly trained. I had thought that students would not be as good as Esther but she too is excellent and in my time zone. I believe a coach is really helpful to ensure that I do the exercises effectively.

ADL + following Gokhale classes. The course I took and the classes I follow have helped me tremendously. In particular I am more amd more mindful of my positioning and take steps to improve throughout my day and at night for that matter ( if I awaken).
