      Shoulder manipulation

Rt shoulder dislocation with humeral compression fracture, falling on concrete. 10 K-Laser treatments by chiro greatly reduced pain and sped healing, passive movement somewhat increased ROM. 8 acupuncture treatments let scapula move and arm swing almost normally while walking, helped free left back/hip (quadratus lumborum, glutes) which had tightened to try to prevent fall. 5 massage therapy treatments addressed trigger points. Using CBD oil spray, turmeric, cat's claw, white willow bark, cod liver and krill oil to decrease inflammation and pain. Next will try Chinese martial arts remedies (dit da jow, 701 plaster, san huang san) per book A Tooth from the Tiger's Mouth. Limited to active and passive ROM and isometrics by orthopedist. Tried PT but too painful and distressing, no evidence. Own research indicates axillary nerve most likely damaged, deltoid not firing, cannot lift arm away from body. Will take time for nerve to recover. Hint: ultrasound cheaper than MRI.

      Shoulder manipulation

Fell during snowboarding, resulted in left dislocated shoulder. Taken by ambulance to hospital after receiving a Morphine shot. At the hospital, taken an X-ray where a chipped bone was identified. Received a Versed shot to allow for the doc to manipulate the shoulder back into place. The injury included a stretched back deltoid nerve that rendered the back deltoid muscle nonoperational for a period of 4 months following the injury. Physical therapy administered for a period of 3 months following injury. Recovery took about a year where the shoulder felt normal, except for sensitivity to weather changes that lasted for a couple of years afterwards.
