    It definitely limited movement in that arm, and prevented me from sleeping on that side. The initial injury healed over time with no treatment. But then the cuff was re-ripped many years (about 8) later. This time I consulted a book about upper body exercise for women, and followed exercises for strengthening the surrounding muscles while maintaining flexibility. This did the trick. My visits to a PT didn't really help and in fact one PT I think made the injury worse.
