    I had a lot of crunching and sifting noises in my neck when turning my head in my 30s and was really concerned what my neck would sound like and feel like 10, 15 20 years down the line. Stretching, massage, chiropractor, didn't help. It wasn't until I took the Gokhale Method and learned where my head belonged (where it's home was) and how to elongate the back of my neck that the noise went away. Once I was able to learn where my head and neck belonged the noises went away and never came back! I am so thrilled. I'm not doing further damage to my neck and it is quiet!

    10 years ago, did some misguided experiments with backstroke and triggered some neck muscles. Since then, my neck will tighten up if I have been working at the computer too long, if I'm dehydrated, especially stressed, or especially tired. Remembering to relax my neck, adjusting my head and neck posture, or sleeping it off works best to reset.

    Before I discovered the Gokhale Method, acupuncture provided the most relief, but not enough to continue working and daily activities. Muscle Relaxants, stretching, exercise, and massage did nothing to help. Reading and following, "8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back" by Esther Gokhale helped me get rid of 70% of my neck pain over the course of 1 year. After getting my knees replaced, I was able to get rid of 95% of neck pain following Gokhale. I still have some tightness after long car drives or sitting at a desk. (Probably just need to take more breaks.)
