What most helped me is wearing almost all day long a small weight on my head to naturally correct posture (see gokhale method, gokhale head cushion) and getting my upper body much stronger (calisthenics). I also now totally avoid the sitting position, and only work standing on computer. I also tested a ton of different ergonomic pillows to find a good sleeping position. Eventually I sleep with almost no pillow (a very thin one).

I've been in near constant pain during my waking life for over 6 years. I'm very disappointed that this didn't ask me about regenerative injections (prolozone, prolotherapy, Platelet Rich Plasma, and Stem Cell Injections). I've found regenerative injections to be the most helpful of all the treatments I've tried.
