Basically I don't have any specific problems with my neck, I was more suffering from the low back pain. Regarding the neck, I could make the wrong movement sometimes and it could hurt for a few days. And it was easy to treat with a massage or slight stretching exercises. But with the Gokhale method, I can tell that my posture and position of the neck got better and I feel now more confident while walking or talking to people.

I had a lot of crunching and sifting noises in my neck when turning my head in my 30s and was really concerned what my neck would sound like and feel like 10, 15 20 years down the line. Stretching, massage, chiropractor, didn't help. It wasn't until I took the Gokhale Method and learned where my head belonged (where it's home was) and how to elongate the back of my neck that the noise went away. Once I was able to learn where my head and neck belonged the noises went away and never came back! I am so thrilled. I'm not doing further damage to my neck and it is quiet!

Due to CFS I have to rest a lot. Over the years, I have had lower back pain and now, probably due to bad posture, I am starting to notice neck pain and stiffness. I also have knee pain. I am looking to correct my posture and learn how to get healthy just through improving my every day movements.
Anonymous Neck pain
I've suffered from neck pain because of posture for years. Doing the Gokhale class and then going back to yoga has made all the difference! I couldn't have done it without Doreen's Gokhale class. On occasion, I feel a bit of irritation creeping in; that's my sign to readjust using Gokhale method, and it works. Pain goes away, and I'm happy again.
