I didn't have this problem until I had an arthroscopy. Since then my left knee has never been the same. I have gone through several bouts of PT (strengthening, massage, TENS & brace) with little change. The muscles are weak; I have trouble squatting/getting up, stepping up/pushing off with that leg as the "dominant" leg. I know weight is part of the problem, but I can't exercise as much as I'd like because of the knee.
