I needed two discs replaced in my lower back but the surgeon said that he only replaced one because it he had replaced both, the arthritis would have continued up my spine. I am in as much pain now, if not more, than I had before the surgery. However, my surgery was a success. As far as the cadaver bones mending to my bones. I'm not sure that is the right word. But I had more problems with the incision than the disc replacement. Then when my back continued hurting and also my legs, I had my knees xrayed and they were both in bad shape. So I had those done six months apart. Which I consider a success as well. But now I am in pain 24/7. It is effecting my entire being. I am a widow now and the household chores are left up to me to do and it ain't easy, trust me.
