had acl reconstruction 15+ yrs ago on one knee, but I have osteoarthritis now in both knees as well as other joints, DDD in L1-L5 as well as fybromyalgia. Been getting injections in knees for almost a year so I can walk. I see improvement after about two weeks in that I can walk without feeling knees were cut off! Pain is constant and take meds , hydrocodone, gabapentin, lyrica, and Humira, as well as lexapro for depression. Take 6000iU daily of vit D3 and an omega 3 fish oil capsule. Told it will only get worse. Pain meds give some relief but at stage where something new needs to be created for intense pain for people as what we have doesn't do the job. Barely able to function days and do what I can when I can. Quit work last Sept as pain was unbearable and could not do it. Have three kids to boot and they are my saving grace. If it weren't for them I'd have jumped off a bridge by now!! Hope others doing better than I or at least minus the depression and other ills. Interested to hear any ideas other than replacement of all joints!!
