This is my 4th ACL tear in 25 years, all have been in adulthood. After this recent one it was suggested I have further evaluation for a connective tissue disorder. It turns out I have a disorder which significantly reduced the chances of any ACL surgery every working. As a result of the surgeries, I have developed severe osteoarthritis. I am in a brace and suffer from horrible knee pain. I have done visco supplements, and a genicular nerve block. I am currently in a physical therapy program and pursuing a knee replacement.

I am now having some pain in my right leg. The area behind my knee cap plus the muscles from outer hip all the way down to my toes. I had ankle surgery in 2000. Stainless steel hardware with screws on my ankle bone.
My pain actually started in my foot area a couple of months ago and has eventually the right knee area and muscles started acting up.
I've used ice therapy, heat therapy, stimulation therapy. Aleve is not helping with the inflammation.
Planning on making an appointment with the surgeon who did the surgery on my ankle to see what's going on with the right side.
As of today November 18th my right side is feeling so much better.
I've seen my chiropractor with 2 sessions, icing my lower back and heat on my calf and behind the knee. I will continue to see my chiropractor for hip adjustments. Waiting for results of my MRI.
MRI indicated a tear in my medial meniscus and a cyst behind the knee muscle area. I am continuing my chiropractic care and had corticosteroid injections in my left and right knees December 31, 2019.
My mcl on the right knee has been angry since my last snowshoeing adventure so I've been icing 2x a day. It's feeling better but will continue with the therapy.
