The squats are now improving. Doing almost squatting down to a chair and back up with feet closer together. Also using a band around my ankles and doing semi crouching lateral steps about 50 ft several lengths for strengthening as well as clam shells with that same band. I can now sit longer with my knee at a 90 degree angle. Doing more chair leg lifts with ankle weights to strengthen knee.
