After the self healing and recovery, which took almost 9 months, I am able to do everything that I used to do before the tear. I am now just extra careful to not reinjure my knee so avoid sports like skiing, but actively playing sports like Tennis, Racquet ball etc. The best sports surgeon said it would not heal without surgery but it did, with physical therapy and my belief in self healing.

ACL tear in my right knee occurred while playing tennis and within 2 years of child birth, where I suffered from HELLP. Shortly thereafter, I ended up tearing my ACL in the other knee. I only operated upon my right knee, which has never ever recovered fully, because of constantly developing scar tissue and has been in pain ever since the surgery. My left knee has fared better without undergoing any surgery.
