Rest, stretching and massaging w creams and oils. Doctor will not give me a cortisone shot out of fear it would be to painful. I really do need something done.

Getting cortisone injections for my stenosis totally helps it, although after 5 weeks it slowly came back so not cured but not as high as level of pain. Done twice. Each time, significant improvement.

Have tried many things including the non FDA approved Shockwave Theapy which has not been effective after the four recommended treatments. I find the best thing for pain relief is REST which is nearly impossible as I work on my feet all day in healthcare. Dynamic stretching especially the kind that Yoga can give is also temporarily effective.

After years of chronic / recurrent heel cord tendinitis, gave up minimalistic shoes for regular trail runners and rolling soleus muscle. That combination gave very quick relief. Have been pain free for several years

2.5 yrs of hell! That, bone spurs and the plantar stuff, mostly in right foot after I returned to teaching on cement floors. Slept in a tennis shoe for a while to keep my tendon/muscle from drawing up at night. Kept it stretched out. Had a pair of crutches by my bed to use after first getting up. The foot brace was too bulky. Had to go to shoes without backs in them, like Crocs. Helped a lot, but my principal hated me wearing them...not professional, he said! Used gel pads in shoes that would hold them. Little help from 2 podiatrists and an orthopedic surgeon. Still feel twinges every now and then, and it scares me to death that it is returning! Retired now and can rest and elevate my feet more. Been going to chiropractor for my knees and I see that they have treatments for feet now. I will definitely try them if problems return!!!
